Tik Tok is a phenomenon.
You’ve probably heard of it, even though you may be at a loss to explain what it is.
Simply put, Tik Tok is a global internet platform for short-form mobile video. We’re not ageist (far from it, as our mature models can testify), although it’s fair to say that Tik Tok is more familiar with the younger generations.
A lot of the videos uploaded to Tik Tok last from just a few seconds to three minutes. It’s known as “Douyin” in China, where it originated in September 2016. Therefore, Tik Tok can be defined as an international format of “Douyin”. A couple of years ago, Tik Tok boasted over 2 billion mobile downloads worldwide, making it one of the fastest growing brands in the world. That’s any “brands” around the world – not just technical brands or websites. Tik Tok’s popularity is incredible, and it shows no signs of wilting from competitors. It’s here to stay – at least for the time being.
We like to move with the times. Whilst we still benefit from traditional methods of marketing and promotion, we feel that Tik Tok is a useful channel from which to reach a wider audience.
