The modelling industry has trends just like any other. Not all genres of modelling go through cycles of popularity, as several are in demand throughout the year. But there are some trends that models may want to explore without knowing they exist.
Senior couples modelling is one such type of commercial modelling that is on the up – and now is the best time to be involved.
We’ve placed plenty of couples with the top brands that regularly approach us asking for the best models around. Some of these models had never met before, and this works out perfectly; they invariably connect with each other on set and often form friendships. That’s great, because there is always a demand for top notch modelling couples.
However, brands are increasingly asking for more mature couples to help them appeal to the public in the form of photo shoots and social media adverts, as well as reels and images for websites.
As the demand increases, so is our request for couples above the age of 50. The chemistry already there in real-life couples cannot be replicated; strangers can pull it off due to their talent, but real-life couples don’t need to work at it – it’s there already and it really shows on set.
Any model that takes commercial modelling seriously should join a reputable modelling employment agency. Agencies have the staff, the expertise and the clients that come to them in the first instance, so models don’t need to do the groundwork in seeking work. They do have to update their portfolios and have an interest in the industry, but the merits of becoming a registered model are indisputable.
Modelling as a couple should be a mutual decision. Sometimes, though, one half of a couple may not have given any thought to becoming a star of the show.
