However, our reputation has been built on doing the right things well, and by listening to our loyal clients and talented models. After all, without them, we wouldn’t be in business. Age really is no restriction when it comes to commercial modelling here at Models Direct. If there wasn’t any call for mature models or baby / child models, we wouldn’t ask for budding models to get in touch with us to help them become models. The first tip is to read up about commercial modelling, and to understand that it’s completely different to high end fashion modelling. There are no catwalks in commercial modelling. Instead, our models usually represent everyday people, and that’s exactly what our clients are looking for.
Secondly, don’t think about becoming a model on a whim. Yes, modelling is fun and some of our models are content to accept jobs only on an ad hoc basis, but all models must be honest to themselves and be dedicated. Half measures won’t cut it, we’re afraid.
Thirdly, have a look at our extensive client list. Familiarise yourself with the sectors we provide models to. Understand what they are looking for, and how your looks can assist them.
Then, be confident that your looks are required by us and the brands we work with. If you think you might not be chosen, then that’s half the battle lost. Be bold and show us what you can offer.
It starts with a quick registration, which includes uploading two clear headshot photos. There’s no need to hire a professional photographer. An iPhone is fine, if the photos accurately represent your look.
