Smiles all round for these three #juniormodels who had the chance to model for the new online commercial for the London toy brand Hasbro – free toys too!!
A fantastic time was had for the models successfully selected for the filming of the online commercial for Hasbro toys in London, great feedback was received from models and we think the smiles on their faces says it all!
Recently there’s been some interesting articles in the media about modelling, what it takes to be a model and the expectations of models today in what is an incredibly competitive, driven and controversial industry….. with 28yrs experience Models Direct are now having their say!
There are lots of differences between fashion modelling and commercial modelling, however there are many similarities too. Trends and fashions come and go and this is the same for the type of models clients and designers are looking to book too. Clients will be looking for models who have the appropriate look, shape or character to portray their product/service in the most productive and effective way and appeal to their consumer. A model is someone the consumer aspires to be, so therefore great consideration is taken by a client when booking models for their latest campaign.
Securing work as an extra in a film, TV show, commercial or stage/musical performance is very exciting! It’s a step in the door to get the opportunity to work in the industry and make the contacts you need to progress.
An extra normally appears in a nonspeaking or nonsinging capacity and usually in the background of a particular scene, some productions require large amounts of extras and other only need a few it completely depends on the project and the overall look.
Models Direct provides extras for many different clients in the industry and recently Molly from the Models Direct assignments team has been organising 50+ extra’s, adults and children for a large period drama film, being shot in Southampton – super exciting!
This week we have Dhruv, Rianna, Saheel, Jake, Sohaila & Zain from Models Direct on set and working with the production team, they will be acting different parts and are super excited to land a role in such a big movie that will be in our cinema’s soon!
Well done from everyone at Models Direct!
The demand for animals in advertising is big and growing all the time! With only seconds to capture your audience’s attention, a witty comment or a cute animal works well!
We have all seen animals used in commercials for lots of different brands and high street stores. Buster the Boxer in the John Lewis Christmas commercial, McDonalds, Perina Dog Food, Whiskers…..the list goes on!
Why post 1 Models Direct video review when you can post 4 at once right? So here we go.
Maci tells us in her Models Direct review why it was worth getting out of bed, Emmanuel recalls modelling, dancing and singing, Laura takes her big opportunity thanks to the modelling agency and Herbert starts his own fan club.
Judging by the smile still on his face after his modelling assignment last weekend, there won’t be many people having a better Sunday then Isaac had. He picked up his first assignment as an extra with Models Direct modelling agency and in his own words…
“I had such a sick time. It was generally so cool. They made my day – I had the best Sunday. Thank you Models Direct”
No problem Isaac – glad you had a great time. The assignment involved several Models Direct models being filmed watching a live band for a commercial. Watch the clip below and let Isaac tell you for himself what he had to do to earn his £292 modelling fee…

It’s 5 up for Models Direct model Annie. This time looking fabulous at modelling photo shoot to promote a wedding venue in South Wales. Hair, make-up and outfits all supplied by the client and we have to admit, Annie looks stunning and did the modelling agency proud. Some lovely photos for Annie to add to her already impressive modelling portfolio.
Ashleigh found herself modelling, signing and dancing on her Models Direct assignment for a well known crisp manufacture. Posing in front of the cameras, trying to create a ‘party’ atmosphere for the Models Direct client helped Ashleigh with her modelling experience. And the most enjoyable part was? ‘…well, most of it really. I joined the modelling agency because I like the idea of modelling on the side as I love taking photos, and the money and trying new and different things’.
