Calling all young people aged 13 to 18 with an interest in modelling…
We just want to let you know there are lots of exciting options out there and you really can find your niche!
Parents of teens considering putting their youngsters forward will also wish to explore the fields their son or daughter could work in – so please also read on!

Teen models applying to join Models Direct can tell us about areas of particular interest or they can simply wait until they are offered an assignment then decide with their parents whether it is for them.
Teen modelling options with us might include:
Lifestyle modelling – much of the work we book our teen models for would come under the umbrella of lifestyle modelling. This is where models are required to pose or act as if they are engaging in a pastime that most of us either do frequently or aspire to do. Our teen models might be asked to pose playing video games, scrolling on their phones or going to the cinema, for example.

Fashion modelling – this involves taking part in photo or film shoots for recognisable, high street brands or catwalk modelling at live events. Either way, you might be asked to model complete outfits or perhaps just footwear or accessories while wearing your own clothing.
Commercial modelling – this overlaps with some of our other areas of modelling. It is where our teenagers are chosen to help promote a product, service or brand. We have sent youngsters along to all sorts of assignments where the end clients are names you could not fail to recognise – think McDonald’s, Sky and Sony…

Hair modelling – our teen models are sometimes requested for hair modelling shoots, perhaps for a new shampoo, conditioner or other product range. They are sometimes asked if they would like to attend a live event, where their lovely locks might be styled as part of a show or competition.
Family modelling – some of our teens join Models Direct along with the rest of their families. Our clients often request families with at least one teenager to help them promote leisure activities, days out, attractions and even holidays!
Models of diversity – we have male, female and younger models on our books who are of all backgrounds, body shapes and looks, as well as abilities. Our clients seek models of all ages who represent the general public as it really is – made up of all sorts of individuals.
In addition to all of the above, Models Direct also represents plus-size models, tall models and petite models.
We have sports and fitness models, hand models and people who especially enjoy promotional work, where they help out at live events.
Some of these jobs are more suited to adult models, but once you start working with us, you will gain a feel for what you enjoy.

Follow us on social media, read our blogs and dip into our reviews to find out more about the kinds of assignments our teen models have been booked for.
For Shaun, for example, the job involved a day out to the cinema.
Afterwards, he told us:
“I really enjoyed the assignment.
“I met other models and got some good advice and tips.
“The job was for Cineworld and the photographer took lots of photos from different angles to advertise their cinema and products.
“The client was really nice and helpful and made me feel relaxed and comfortable.
“It was very enjoyable and it was great to meet other models.”
And Adam went along to Tate Britain with some other young models.
He said:
“The best thing about the assignment was posing with the various props such as the iPad near real paintings in the gallery.
“On top of that, we even had occasional audiences of passers-by in the gallery, which really made me feel a pro!
“When I arrived, I was asked to just wait and then prepare for some photos.
“We then posed in groups large and small, as well as individually, in different positions in the museum while the photographers directed us and helped us maintain and achieve natural and effective shots.
“It was all a great learning experience and a lot of fun as it was something new and different for me.”
