Family fun – find out more about modelling together

Have you ever thought about modelling with your nearest and dearest?

Well, if you haven’t, perhaps you should!

Modelling can be great fun – and the good news is that you don’t have to do it on your own.

At Models Direct we are always on the lookout for people to join us to take part in family modelling as there is such high demand.

Here are just a few of the questions we are asked by families – and the answers that we hope will help you to decide if modelling might be right for you.

Q: My family has never modelled before, is that a problem?

A: No! Many of our models are completely inexperienced when they first join us. This really isn’t a problem as we can tell you what to expect and the teams conducting the shoots will also guide you. All we ask, is that you think everyone in your family group will feel comfortable and be happy interacting in front of the camera.

Q: Can families with very young children model?

A: Yes, we look for families with children of all ages, from babes in arms right up to young adults. We have a wide variety of clients, and they require families with babies, children and teenagers at different times for all sorts of campaigns. Therefore, we are interested in hearing from families with youngsters of all different ages.

Q: We are parents who are the same sex, can we put ourselves and our children forward for family modelling?

A: Yes, please do! We would love to hear from you. Our clients want to reflect the world we live in and as such we may well be asked to suggest families with two mums or two dads.

Q: Can families with single parents and step parents take part in family modelling?

A: Again, yes! Families come in all sorts of different compositions these days and our clients may well ask us for a single family or a blended family. We are also interested in hearing from mixed race families, multi-generational families and those with family members who have disabilities. It is important that advertisers reflect the beautiful diversity of our world and are inclusive in every way. They (and we!) want families who are just like the everyday families we are all part of!
