Five Top Tips to help your baby become a successful model

If you have signed your bouncing bundle of joy up to a modelling agency you will want to be able to make the very best of any opportunities that come your way.

Accompanying your little one as they embark upon on a lively and hopefully lucrative career can take dedication, however, and it is worth preparing yourself for the journey ahead.

Here are five suggestions to help your tiny tot become a successful baby model:

  1. Try to get your little one into a routine

This is as important for you as it is for your precious bundle as everyone requires some good sleep. If your baby is well rested, then he or she is more likely to be in a good mood and ready to play when the camera calls for it. You will find it easier to manage assignments and the whole experience of baby modelling if he or she is not grizzly, and you are not stressed out.

  1. Socialise your baby as early as possible

Gorgeous though your bundle of joy is, try not to keep him or her to yourself the whole time! Pass your baby round, trust friends and family to undertake babysitting and get your little one used to being held by people other than you. The more socialised your baby is, the easier assignments will be.

  1. Make sure you are prepared for each assignment in good time

Get everything ready the night before, ensure you have several changes of clothes for your baby model, as well as everything you would normally take out on an expedition. Take plenty of nappies, baby wipes and towels etc and make sure you have all your timings, directions and contact telephone numbers.

  1. Try to make sure your baby has been fed in time

We all know the fury of a “hangry” baby. Make sure you have good supplies of solid meals and healthy snacks with you, as well as bottles of milk if required. A satisfied baby is far more likely to be a happy baby and to enjoy the whole experience of performing in front of the camera.

  1. Be ready to cheer your baby up

All babes in arms and toddlers have their weepy moments, so be prepared with plenty of toys, books and funny faces to cheer them up and get them laughing again! All parents know how hard this can be so come with lots tricks up your sleeve. You may well have to work hard at this if your little one feels anxious and unsettled, but it will be worth it when you see that smiling face beaming back at you.
