Paws and Pose: Why Pet Modelling Will Be Huge

As we hit Spring, we can allow ourselves to think about what we can do to improve our lives – no matter how trivial they might appear.

One aspect a budding model should consider is the lucrative world of pet modelling. By now, we hope that the phrase “pet modelling” isn’t a new concept, because animals of all shapes and sizes have been utilised to great effect in various forms of media for years now, from appearing in TV adverts and on film sets, to being photographed for social media posts and on company websites. Pet modelling has really grown as brands look for innovative ways of getting their products across to new and existing customers.

Why do we think that 2026 will be the “Year of Pet Model”? We’re not clairvoyants, but we can be confident that pet modelling will be even bigger this year than it’s ever been.

Consider the following:

1. We have working relationships with more forward-thinking brands than ever. This can only be an advantage to us and our models. It means there are plenty of opportunities for all sorts of models, no matter what age or sex they are. And pet modelling is no exception: owners of cats, dogs, rabbits and other eye-catching animals can be assured that the greater the number of clients approach us, the greater the chance your registered pet will be chosen by them (as always, our clients have the all-important final decision!)

2. Clients don’t choose pet models on a whim. They have specific marketing requirements, and they plan their campaigns carefully. Animals have regularly proven that they get results – from connecting with a human’s emotions to physically doing tricks or poses that we lesser mortals simply can’t achieve. And with the growing popularity of social media interest, animals are more in the spotlight than they were decades ago.

3. Pet owners are now more aware that their loving pets can be used to a brand’s advantage. Call it “pet savvy” if you will – we just call it following trends and being interested in the commercial modelling industry. Owners must know that dogs and cats are the most sought-after, though more exotic animals are often called for. As the UK’s no.1 commercial modelling agency, we have the capability to place a huge number of modelling types with renowned brands in every corner of the country, and that includes an incredible diversity in pets.

4. Brands constantly search for the perfect advertising campaign – something that is striking, effective and memorable. Animals tick all their marketing boxes, and 2026 adverts should heavily animals in all their glory!

There’s one simple way to give your pet the best chance of being selected by our wealth of clients, and that’s registering your pet with us in the first instance. After that, our team will process the application and be in touch with you.

There’s no reason why your cat, dog, rabbit, guinea pig, bird or reptile can’t be one of our next StarPets. 2026 could be the year your pet makes it in front of the cameras!
