There are (literally) thousands of millions of reviews posted on the Internet. Some websites are, in fact, dedicated to reviews. We have access to reviews at the drop of a hat, and we can write a review and have it uploaded for people around the world to read in a matter of minutes. Reviews are everywhere, and they’ll continue for years to come.
Everyone has an opinion. Or, at least, they should have one. This is great when it comes to our models expressing their experiences after their photo shoots. We always enjoy hearing how welcome they are made to feel and how their day’s modelling has evolved. For many, their reviews are a collective first-time success. They often tell us how other people contribute to the job, just as our debutant model Bina recently highlighted after her photo shoot in Pembrokeshire:
“This was my first official photo shoot, and I’m extremely grateful to Models Direct for representing me and putting my portfolio forward. I was apprehensive, however Charlie made the process seamless and she put my mind at rest. It was a great journey and location selected by the client; a lovely, picturesque part of the world to be in.
“I worked with model Katherine and photographer Owen. I’m so thankful to Katherine for her expertise and advice on the day, and to Owen for making me comfortable and reassuring us as we worked through the shots. This is a particularly helpful review to other models because it shows the following points:
1. We recommend our models to clients, who then make their final decision based on photos and information in a model’s portfolio. It’s why encourage models to read our tips on getting your photos just right.
2. Models often work with professional photographers and other models. A relaxed, engaging model is always more effective, so we often hear of a model’s relationship with others on the shoot as being a key part to the job’s success.
3. We have thousands of clients looking for the best commercial models, so it’s not surprising that there are opportunities in most parts of the UK. Travel is arranged, and in Bina’s case, she was delighted to travel to a National Park in South West Wales.
4. Modelling can create long-lasting memories. We don’t just think of modelling as “jobs” or “work” (although it is a business, so we must express some financial acumen). Modelling can create new friendships, and it can increase confidence. It’s one of the reasons why we receive so many positive reviews.
We don’t cover up any of our reviews. After all, they are all written by our models, and they are available for all to see. We appreciate that all companies have certain bad reviews. In our case, most of these rare reviews result from models not updating their portfolios. This means that our clients can’t have accurate images to base their opinions on, and some models are therefore not picked after a certain amount of time.
